Home Depot Halloween Hits the Shelves!

I was a fan of Home Depot's even before they asked me to participate in their Halloween Style Challenge. In addition to all sorts of supplies to challenge a creative mind, they also carry a nice selection of seasonal decor items. Being the Halloween nut that I am, I have been anxiously awaiting Home Depot's Halloween goods to hit the stores. I, of course, got an early sampling as I was sent product in the "mystery boxes" for the Style Challenge. I knew there would be more, though, and I couldn't wait to see what else they had!

As a Halloween enthusiast, I belong to a Facebook group called Haunter's Hangout. This is a group of over 20,000 Halloween and haunt fans. It is an amazing group of creative individuals that are proud of the work they do and always happy to share ideas, designs and techniques. I have learned a lot from them and continue to be inspired reading all their posts. As Halloween product appeared on Home Depot's website and in stores across the country, posts appeared showing product, giving reviews, recommendations and project ideas. The general consensus is that Home Depot has hit a home-run this year with their Halloween product. Here are a few of the most popular items:

The 36" gargoyle is a terrific prop at just $89.98. The life-size skulls are a tremendous value at just $5.88 for a set of two. The 60" pose and stay skeleton is flying out of stores at just $29.98 and is perfect as is, or for DIY corpsing projects (melting plastic bag shreds over the bones and staining brown to look like rotted, decomposed flesh). The 60" lunging reaper has been a huge hit and is already sold out online. The haunters are raving at how good the quality is for the price ($99). I already bought mine!

Hurry in to your local Home Depot to check out these items, as well as other great Halloween products!
